Have you ever been connecting your 5th wheeler to your tow vehicle when someone comes up and starts talking. Well this can be very expensive, as one of our members has found out last year.
He went to drive off and damaged his Ford 250 tub.
How did this happen? Instead of doing a double check once he finished talking to the inquiring person. he raised the front and rear legs and forgot to check if the hitch, and put in the safety pin. driving off. The fifth wheeler came out of the hitch and dropped onto the ford 250 towing vehicle. this problem is more common then you think even for some dealerships.
There are two solution to this problem.
1.   Check the hitch before driving out.
2.   Purchase a BedSaver or PinLock (as shown below).
See where to buy these from one of our supporters  on the accessories part of this site.

The PINLOCK adds an extra measure of safety to your fifth wheeler. this simple device utilizes a counterwieght plate that pivots up creating a catch for the disengaged king pin preventing the trailer from falling.
