What you can buy for your 5th Wheeler
You can buy many accessories for your 5th wheeler from electric drive stabilizers, adjustable wind deflectors, stabilizing trailer
chocks, even stabilizers that stop front to back and side by side motion.
We recommend that as your purchase your 5th
wheeler that you consider a floating hitch, this floating hitch reducers the shock from those extensive bumps and road
surfaces you can get in the Australia back roads.
The floating hitch is designed to more in two directions forward to back and side to side. In other words when you hit that large
pot hole or even pull away from a set of lights you feel the tow vehicle pull you back, The floating hitch will take that intial shock
off the tow vehicle, pin and 5th wheeler.
Then there is a pin box that has a shock absorber built into it. This works well if you have a hard suspension in the tow
vehicle.
Then there is tire carriers that tilt or fold down to save your back by removing the need to lift the tyre of the carrier. This we
recommend if you do have a bad back or suffer from back problems.
Have you ever lowered your front legs down and found that they just sink into the soil or sand, then you might need larger foot pads
on the front jacks.
If you have worked with metal these can be made by copying your existing set only making the plate (pad) larger. Or
you can buy a set from one of our supporters.
